Our customer required a windows based Point of Sale system which can run individual supermarkets as well as chain of supermarkets. In case of supermarket chain, data has to be in synchronization with the server at the headquarters. Developing a powerful POS system also requires integrating a system that joins sales, inventory, purchasing, accounting and book keeping functions into one application.

Objective

To develop an integrated application for retail industry, which can automate billing transactions at any retail outlet or supermarket chain.

Key Challenges of the project were:
  • Developing and integrating accounting modules and 64 accounting reports
  • Live screen monitoring of 6 different Tills from Back Office
  • Screen with online cash position and ongoing real time transactions of the Tills

  • Barcode and Shelf label printing supporting multiple printer type
  • Orders or quotes can be directly sent to supplier or customer through email or can be printed
  • Generates stand alone as well as clubbed reports of all branches. Reports include:

All the reports can be displayed, printed, emailed and exported to Word, Excel and PDF
